The Nanny TV Series

 

The nanny TV series is one of the finest American comedy serial that was aired in many countries during 1990s. A total of 146 episodes of the serial have been telecasted during November 3, 1993 and May 12,1999. With the popularity of the nanny TV series, many versions in local languages have also been aired during the last one and half decades.

The story of the nanny TV series revolves around actress Fran Fine (Fran Drescher) and Maxwell Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy). Fran was earlier working as a bridal consultant with her boyfriend and after getting fired from the job, she mistakenly took the job of nanny to three sons of the widower Maxwell. The different episode of the nanny TV series focuses on the relationship of the nanny to the three sons and the Maxwell.

The nanny TV series were run on air in six seasons. Twenty two episodes were telecasted during first season that was started from November 3, 1993 and ended on May 16, 1994. The second season of the nanny TV series was started on September 12, 1994 and a total of 26 episodes were telecasted during the second season that ended on May 22, 1995.

A total of 27 episodes telecasted during the third season of the nanny TV series that was started on Sept, 11, 1995 and ended on May 20, 1996. The fourth season was aired between Sept 18, 1996 to May 21, 1997 and a total of 26 episodes were telecasted. The fifth season was aired between October 1, 1997 to May 13, 1998 and a total of 22 episodes of the nanny Tv series were telecasted during this period. Twenty two episodes of the sixth and final season of the nanny TV series were telecasted during Sept 30, 1998 to May 12, 1999.

The running gags were added to the nanny TV series at regular intervals and these made the serious more humorous. All the casts of the nanny TV series were so experts and committed towards their characters that the gesture and actions of such characters including Fran and Maxwell were sufficient enough to produce comedy. The facial expression and sometimes even the falls and downs put in the nanny TV serial made it a greatest serial of its time and reminded "I love Lucy" of 1950s.
